(FORT WORTH, Texas – May 7, 2018) — Local Medicare recipients now have easier access to answers regarding their health coverage and healthcare needs thanks to a new Medicare Education Center that has opened at the Northeast Mall in Hurst. The center is operated by Care N’ Care, a local Medicare Advantage health plan, and is conducted in partnership with Nations Insurance Solutions.

At the new center Medicare beneficiaries and family members can meet confidentially with a licensed sales agent who can answer their questions, help with Medicare eligibility, and determine whether or not the senior qualifies for a federal subsidy. They can also review plan options and help the senior enroll in a Care N’ Care plan that best meets their needs and budget. Depending on the individual county, Care N’ Care offers Medicare beneficiaries a choice of four PPO plans and an HMO plan. These plans offer all of the coverage of traditional Medicare plus additional services and benefits that improve and simplify Medicare coverage.

While the vast majority of Medicare recipients can only change their Medicare coverage during the annual open enrollment period that runs October 15 through December 7, those turning 65 or who have moved can enroll throughout the year during a special election period. For those turning 65 that enrollment period is seven-months long, beginning the third month before turning 65 and ending the third month past the 65th birthday.

The Care N’ Care Medicare Education Center is located in suite 5004 inside the Northeast Mall at 1101 Melbourne Road in Hurst. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
